Job Description

General Summary

This position is responsible for customer support activities. Troubleshooting customer issues and diagnosing root cause for resolution, as well as, for customer satisfaction with products and services.

Primary/Key Responsibilities
  • Operation of material handling equipment (label machines, weight scales, & some Powered Equipment such as forklift, picker or pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Help with the Call Center for Technical Service hotlines and contact with customers directly on customer  evaluations
  • Support rework of items in warehouse and properly and quickly returning this product to sellable inventory while maintaining company standards for quality as set forth by department lead
  • Direct use of our Quality Response System and all features contained within. A system of tracking customer complaints of quality concerns
  • Use of measuring tools and mechanical tools in the Quality department while performing work item and customer evaluations
  • Disassembly and diagnostics of products for customer evaluations
  • Support and interaction with other departments such as Sales and Customer Service
  • Identify & follow-up on any non-conformances in materials, processes & workmanship  to prevent the customer from experiencing operational & field issues.
  • Gain & maintain the trust and confidence of all customers to receive their repeat business in the future. This means being 'the voice of the customer'
  • Provides a quality product at the most competitive price available in the industry to our customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction, must be mechanically inclined  and  must  be  able  to  work  with  hand  tools  and  small measuring equipment.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two + years related experience   and/or  training;  or  equivalent   combination   of  education  and experience.

  • Experience using forklifts, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack along with power tools.
