Job Description

We are partnering with a leading Packaging Company in the Bay Area that is looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to assist with their daily production flow.  The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, trustworthy, energetic, reliable and a team player.  Our Client is looking for career minded detailed individuals only.  Experienced person must adapt, make decisions quickly and confidently in a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor/audit and reinforce quality control processes (QCP)
  • Maintain daily production schedule
  • Schedule customer pack jobs, issue and track time cards
  • Conduct daily production meetings
  • Communicate with Customer Service regarding scheduling issues
  • Review work travelers daily for accuracy, SPO material, etc.
  • Monitor non-conforming process, turn in red tags
  • Monitor work in process to ensure customer timelines are met
  • Maintain production area and tool cage organization
  • Ensure new hire training, training on new procedures/processes, and re-training is completed and paperwork turned into HR
  • Work with Production Supervisor to issue annual employee reviews
  • Monitor maintenance logs for all shop machinery, pack vehicles, stencils, small tools, etc.
  • Check in/out packer tool chests
  • Conduct time studies, create variance reports, and other reports as needed
  • Ensure daily safety meetings occur prior to each production shift
  • Communicate issues with upper management

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management skills and communication
  • Motivation to drive continuous improvement processes and endure capacity is maximized
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and teamwork
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office, Word and Excel, Outlook
  • Packaging experience preferred
  • Hands on experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Clean DMV record
  • Bilingual – Spanish - Preferred
