Job Description

Job Summary:

The Technician is tasked with performing all repair processes within their capability to return a component to serviceable condition. This includes, but is not limited to;

  • Performing all maintenance functions to include testing, disassembly, cleaning, trouble?shooting, and evaluations, repair work which complies with approved documentation.
  • Maintaining repair records in a fashion compliant with regulations.
  • Initiating material transfers
  • Submitting requisitions for material both consumable and tooling needed in the repair process prior to needing it (if applicable).
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensuring training records are created as training has been completed.
  • Initiating Sub Component Work Orders
  • Performing all tasks in a manner that complies with safety and employee policies.


  • Must be capable of using standard tools to include, but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi?meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function.
  • Lift and move up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to work while sitting, standing, or sitting; use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear.
  • Must be proficient in writing and speaking in the English language. Must be able to read and comprehend written instruction.
  • Must be drug free with no DOT (Department of Transportation) reported failures of drug or alcohol tests.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to provide your own tools (see department tool list).
